Rusty and I have been quite smitten with a few things over here (one of which is small), and we submitted an offer on a potential investment house this week. We found a foreclosure house about two weeks ago that was in fantastic shape, but we wanted to try something - low balling the offer. So we submitted an offer for 55% of the appraised value. Will they take it? Probably not. If they do, that is awesome, and we saved ourselves 49K off the listing price. If they don't, that's okay, too, and we can submit a higher offer if we want to. This particular house has been on the market for quite a while in foreclosure terms, so we're hoping that they take it out of desperation. But, then again, it is the government, and when does that happen?
In other news, we are finally starting the garage re-do sometime next weekend. Phew!
We are going to be busy every day up until the 11th of February, when Rusty is going to go see Stefan Molyneux speak at a seminar. It'll be March before we know it! :)
